Dakine Kainui Surfboard Leash (9-Feet x 5/16-Inch, Black)

Possible design flaw in huge surf. In this last year I’ve had 3 leashes of this 8′ length and 5/16 size ( brand spankin new right out of the box) snap at the board-end connection right where the cord enters the hard plastic sheath. All three snapped in the same location. All three times I was caught inside a 10ft+ set. In spite of this possible defect, I have found no other leash I prefer and have been able to re-use the swivel and retie the leash to reattach it then to the velcro . .
